How do I get an estimate for a project?
There are several ways to contact us. Requesting an estimate through our website. Calling us direct on our phone number at 204-995-3788. Emailing tom@perrywellington.com or through our social media accounts.
Is there a fee for receiving an estimate?
No. We never charge a fee. Our estimates are free of charge and there is never any obligation to use our services if you feel we are not the right fit for your needs.
How long is the estimate good for?
The estimate is good for 60 days from the date the estimate was give.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We primarily accept check, etrasnsfer and cash. We can accept credit card but that is subject to a 3% convenience fee.
What is your service area?
We service all of winnipeg as well as the surrounding area including but not limited to Headingley, West St. Paul, East St. Paul, Oak Bank, and Oak Bluff.
Do you carry liability insurance?
Yes. We carry 5 million in liability insurance coverage.
Pricing - How do we price jobs?
We do not have standardized pricing. Every job is unique in its own way. Each client has individual needs when it comes to colour selection, colour scheme, prep level, brand of paint, and surfaces being painted. We come out personally to look at each job to meet the homeowner and estimate the job.
How fast can I get a quote?
Typically we can get out to conduct a quote between 1-5 business days depending on the time of year and demand.
Do you require a deposit
Upon confirming the job we take a 10 percent deposit with the remainder being paid upon completion.
How long does it take to complete a job?
It depends on the job and comes down to factors such as preparation and repairs, number of coats and number of areas being painted.
What kind of paint brands do you use?
We have accounts with all major suppliers including Dulux, Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore and Cloverdale.
Do we need to be home while you paint?
It is preferred that you are not on vacation and away from home for extended periods. However, you are free to come and go as you please and carry out your normal daily routine
Do you take precautions to keep my space clean?
Yes. We lay down drop sheets and plastic to protect from falling debris. We also do a daily cleanup and and a full comprehensive cleanup at the end of the painting project.
Will you be pressure washing before starting my project?
Yes. If we are painting stucco or very dirty substrates typically we do pressure wash and leave it for several days to dry out before applying paint or primer.
What is the preparation process before starting painting?
Every job requires its own unique process however most preparation techniques that are common on every job include cleaning the surface, removal of loose paint, sanding and priming.
How do you hire your staff?
We hire for character and experience. It is a unique individual that is a good fit for Perry Wellington Painting & Decorating. We require that our painters have had some formal training either in school or on the job with another reputable paint company.
